2023年10月24日甘肃肃北MS5.5级地震发生在NWW向中祁连北缘断裂带上,震源机制逆冲型。该次地震前祁连山中西段有5项测震学异常,其中、震前1个月新增祁连地震带西段MS3级地震围空异常,2023年7月嘉峪关西沟洞体应变EW分量应力变化从拉张转为受压,NS分量出现了年变幅减小,114天后距离测点54km发生甘肃肃北5.5级地震。主震前两天内,在东南方向地震活动明显增强,共记录到26次地震事件,最大为2023年10月22日肃北MS4.7级,在主震前7h左右进入平静期、之后主震发生。总结肃北5.5级地震前各测项的异常变化特征,以及确定前震序列对判断主震发生积累了经验,对地震预测研究增加了新的震例。
Abstract:
On October 24, 2023, the MS5.5 earthquake in Subei, Gansu Province occurred on the NWW-trending fault zone at the northern edge of the Qilian Mountains, with a thrust type focal mechanism. Before the earthquake, there were 5 seismic anomalies in the central and western sections of the Qilian Mountains. Among them, there was a new MS3 earthquake anomaly in the western section of the Qilian earthquake zone one month before the earthquake. In July 2023, the strain EW component of the Xigou Cave in Jiayuguan changed from tension to compression, and the NS component showed a decrease in annual amplitude. 114 days later, 54 km away from the measuring point,a MS5.5 earthquake occurred in Subei,Gansu Province. In the two days before the main earthquake,there was a significant increase in seismic activity in the southeast direction,with a total of 26 recorded earthquake events, the largest of which was Subei MS4.7 earthquake on October 22, 2023. It entered a calm period about 7 hours before the main shock and then the main shock occurred. This paper summarizes the abnormal changes in various measurement items before Subei MS5.5 earthquake, as well as the experience accumulated in determining the occurrence of the main earthquake by determining the foreshock sequence, and adds new earthquake examples to earthquake prediction research.
